Bukit Belanda, which means 'Dutch Hill', is a small hill across from Bukit Melawati that overlooks the village of Tanjung Keramat. Historically, it was the site of Dutch Fort Ultrecht, built in 1784 after the hill was captured from Sultan Ibrahim of Selangor. Today, very little remains of this once glorious fort, except for some foundation stones. Few visitors know of this place, as it is hidden from town and mostly ignored in promotional materials for tourists. Those interested in checking out Bukit Belanda should follow the signboards to De Palma Hotel; the hill can be seen at left a short distance after Bukit Melawati, with steps leading up to the peak.
