Pasar Pasir Penambang is centrally located in the village, being the largest wet market in Kuala Selangor. Much of the fish, prawns, crabs, oysters, cockles, squid and other seafood that get caught by fishermen end up here in the market, which locals can purchase at cheaper prices than in the city areas. If you can brave the smell and navigate the slippery floor, then the market offers some interesting sights if you're not into shopping for fresh fish. Open daily, it's a good place to bring home some of the local catch and cook up your own dishes of delight. Otherwise, head down to River View or Jetty Restaurant just around the block to enjoy some Chinese seafood.
